They faced the Mongolian players of IHC Esports in their final game that counted toward IEM Katowice 2023, and they were able to confirm their favoritism in the series without experiencing too many difficulties. They encountered some issues in inferno on the first map, the one chosen by their opponents, and ultimately found themselves behind in the rounds; however, they rallied in the closing seconds to win by a score of 16–11. In the second map, they easily ended the series by 16-3 by detonating their opponents in the setting of their choice, the ancient world. Team Liquid, on the other hand, is present for this matchup after defeating Spirit in a match that counted toward the Group A lower bracket semifinal at IEM Katowice 2023 and winning the final round of the tournament. It is important to keep in mind how the North American organization has conducted itself throughout the campaign before analyzing the most recent round. They faced the Russian team of Team Spirit in their final game that counted toward IEM Katowice 2023, and they were able to establish their favoritism. They were superior to their opponents on the map of the match, and they took an early lead in the series when they won the nuke by a margin of 16 to 12. They were caught off guard by their own decision in the sequence, and they lost to 13–16 on the overpass. Finally, they presented a magnificent terrorist side in the form of Anubis, and they won the third map by a score of 16 to 11.
  2. FaZe Clan vs IHC Esports The FaZe clan initially makes an appearance for this matchup following their defeat to G2 Esports in the Group A upper bracket semifinal match during the final round of IEM Katowice 2023. Prior to discussing the final round of the European cast, it is important to recall how they performed in their premier. In their matchup with Spirit, they got going early and took advantage of the opportunity to start on the right side (counter-terrorist), opening a sizable lead early on and winning by a final score of 16-5. They began at a disadvantage on the second map, being on the terrorist side in the nuke for 69, but they were able to recover to 16-12 after once more presenting a defensive side of gala. They had a lead over G2 Esports, the current number 2 team in the world, in their final match at IEM Katowice 2023 and avoided the series, they were put at a disadvantage by 6-9 in the first half of the first map due to their opponents’ excellent terrorists' side, and they also made a good offensive side in the second half, but not enough to turn the tide and lost by 14-16. They then played the ancient map of their choice and were completely defeated in both halves, losing by a combined score of 7-16. IHC Esports, on the other hand, is present for this contest after defeating CLoud9 in a game that counted toward Group A lower bracket round 1 of IEM Katowice 2023 and winning the final round of that tournament. It is important to keep in mind how the Mongolian organization behaved in their introduction before analyzing the most recent round. When they faced Liquid, they got off to a much better start, even gaining a 9-1 advantage in hell. Despite this huge advantage, though, they were still defeated by 13-16 in the aggregate of hell and had no chance in the world of choosing their opponents, losing by 6-16 in the overpass and two maps to 0-1. They played against team Cloud9 team in their final game at IEM Katowice 2023, and they provided the competition with yet another major shock. On the first map, they were on the terrorist side in hell when the game began, starting at a disadvantage and losing by 6-9. On the defensive side, however, they managed to close the doors and turn the marker back to 14-16. Even though they started out on the favorable side of the map (counter-terrorist) in the second map, they had the option of facing their opponents there. However, thanks to an outstanding performance on the terrorist side, they were able to turn around the score to 16-14 once more and defeat the formidable Cloud9 by a score of 2-0. Team Liquid vs Team Spirit Team Liquid initially makes an appearance for this match after losing to Natus Vincere in a match that counted toward the Group A upper bracket semifinal at IEM Katowice 2023's final round. It is important to keep in mind how the actors behaved during their debuts before examining the final group of the North American cast. With a 1–9 scoreboard disadvantage when playing IHC, they had a small scare ahead on the first map. They quickly bounced back, though, and defeated Inferno by a score of 16–13. They easily defeated the Mongols on the second map, finishing at 166 in the overpass aggregate. They faced the Ukrainian team Natus Vincere in their final game at IEM Katowice 2023, and they had no chance against one of the favorites for the championship. They were completely outmatched in the first map's opponent selection, starting at a significant disadvantage on the terrorist side of 3–12, and losing by a final score of 5–16. They had a better first half when they opened 9–6 on the terrorist side in the sequence's map of choice, Anubis, but they did not have an equally effective offensive side of their opponents, losing in overtime by 17–19. Team Spirit, on the other hand, is present for this contest after defeating BIG in a match that counted toward Group A lower bracket round 1 of IEM Katowice 2023 and winning the previous round. It is important to keep in mind how the Russian organization performed in their debut before analyzing the most recent round. They made a poor choice when playing against FaZe by selecting the ancient side and handing over the advantageous side (counter-terrorist) to their opponents in the first half. As a result, they got off to a bad start (3–12 down) and were unable to recover, losing by 5–16 overall. On the second map, they got off to a stronger start on the counterterrorist side in nuke, opening up with a 9–6 advantage, but they had no chance at all on the terrorist side and ended up defeated by 12×16. They defeated the Germans from BIG in their final game at IEM Katowice 2023, solidifying their position as the series favorites. They lost their first match choice by a score of 10–16 in nuke, leaving them one map from being eliminated from the competition. The Russian team, however, displayed exceptional maturity by returning their opponents' choice, winning by 16–11 in the mirage and presenting a strong terrorist side in the third and final map, where they won by 16–10 in the mirage and confirmed the victory of the surprise by 2-1.
  3. ENCE vs compLexity Team ENCE initially makes an appearance for this matchup after losing to Cloud9 in the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-In Upper bracket quarterfinal round. Prior to discussing the Finnish team’s recent loss, it is important to recall how they performed in their debut. With the scorer in the terrorist side, they were down 0x3 early against paiN, but ENCE recovered and outperformed its opponents tactically, winning the first half by a score of 11.4 to take the match. They only maintained their large lead in the second half, closing at a vertiginous 16-7. The team faced the Russian team of Cloud9 in the Play-in phase qualifying match; they did not face their opponents in the series. They chose poorly and played Anubis on the first map, where they lost the first half by a score of 3-12 and ultimately lost by a overall score of 10-16. On the second map, they were able to reverse their opponents’ choice of victory by 16-8 in hell. They created a very balance match in vertigo for the third and final map, but ultimately lost by a score of 13-16. Team compLexity, on the other hand, is present for this matchup after defeating Permitta in the Lower Bracket round one of the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-in. Prior to discussing the North American organization’s victory, it is important to keep in mind how they performed during their debut. CompLexity faced BIG in Anubis and began on the defensive (counter-terrorist) side. The first half was disjointed and had several gaps, and the team started off significantly behind by 4-11. They were much better in the second half compared to the firs, but they were in able to change the outcome and lost by a score of 16-12. The team faced the polish organization of Permitta in the Play-in knockout match, which confirmed the favoritism in the series, they easily defeated their opponents on the first map by defeating the Poles by a margin of 16-8 in the nuke, demonstrating their complete technical and tactical superiority. On the second map, the Americans were given an even easier victory by a margin of 16-7 in the overpass. Spirit vs Sprout After falling to Cloud9 in the upper bracket quarterfinal round of the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-in, the Spirit team first makes an appearance in this clash. Before discussing the Russian team's loss in their most recent game, it is important to recall how they performed in that game. When Grayhound came up against them, they started on the adverse side of the map (terrorist), lost the first two rounds, but still managed to easily win the first half by 114, demonstrating a significantly higher technical and tactical level. They simply needed to score five more times to finish the game with an overall score of 16–6 in the second half. The team met the Swedish team of Ninjas in Pajamas in the Play-in phase qualifying match, and they were defeated in the series. They had the chance to validate their decision in nuke on the first map, but they played poorly defensively, losing by an aggregate score of 7–16. They had the option of playing against one of their opponents on the second map, but they once more chose not to, losing the match by an overall score of 8:16. Team Sprout, on the other hand, is present for this matchup after defeating Evil Geniuses in the Lower bracket round 1 of the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-in. Prior to discussing the Danish team's victory, it is important to keep in mind how they performed during their debut. In the first half of their match against OG in inferno, they took the terrorist approach and were defeated by the smallest possible difference in rounds (7–8). In the second half, they were able to defeat their opponents by an identical margin and tie the match at 15–15. They ultimately performed worse in overtime and lost by a score of 16–19. In the competition. The team's encounter with the North American team of Evil Geniuses in the elimination round proved they were the series' favorites. Resilience best describes the Danes' victory. In the first map, they were down 6–9 in the ancient period before turning the tide and winning 16–13. In the second map, they got off to an even worse start in the mirage, falling behind by 5 to 10 (being on the side of the counter-terrorists), but they were able to recover and get back to 16 to 13.
  4. PBA Governor's Cup 2023 NLEX Road Warriors vs Phoenix Super LPG Fuelmasters When his current contract with the team expires, JONATHON Simmons is determined to take NLEX to another victory. The Phoenix Fuel Masters, who the Road Warriors are scheduled to play in the PBA Governors' Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo on Saturday, should not take kindly to that. Before leaving Sunday to return to his former team in China, an agreement that was reached by all parties before the conference even began, Simmons stated his intentions as "a win. Nothing less than winning." NLEX has won three games in a row, with its most recent victory coming against sister team TNT last Wednesday, 110-108, largely thanks to Simmons. Wayne Selden, another former NBA player, has been lined up to replace Simmons, but he'll have a tough act to follow given Simmons' averages of 36.7 points, 47.4 percent field goal shooting, 9.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals. It makes sense that Phoenix coach Jamike Jarin has made choking Simmons a top priority if his team wants to build on last Thursday's 108-97 victory over NorthPort, the Fuel Masters' first victory in four games. On the eve of the game, Jarin stated, "Main concern right now is their import," before adding another "must" for his players, who were expected to be led once again by Du'vaughn Maxwell, Jason Perkins, and RJ Jazul. Jarin said, "We definitely need to get down on defense since they're the No. 1 team in fastbreak points," adding that his Fuel Masters could have used a longer break after playing four games in nine days but are undoubtedly fired up nevertheless. The fact that we'll have a long break after this game means that Phoenix also needs to be on the lookout for Kevin Alas, who is the top local NLEX player with an average of 20.67 and the regular anchor of the Road Warriors' running game, according to Jarin, whose team's next opponent is Magnolia on Friday. Meralco Bolts vs Blackwater Bossing Troy Rosario has been reactivated by Blackwater, but Shawn Glover will continue to play at least in the Bossing match against Meralco on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo. Although sources said the team had flown in a potential import replacement in the shape of former NBA player Troy Williams, Blackwater had not notified the PBA Commissioner's Office of the import change as of the time of this story's writing. Rosario's return to service is a certain, providing him an extra warm body for the Bossing's 6:45 p.m. matchup with the Bolts. Tussle. In contrast to KJ McDaniels and the Bolts, who are looking to bounce back from a 96-88 loss to the Terrafirma Dyip a week ago, Glover and Co. will be out to pick up the pieces after a crushing 105-86 loss to San Miguel Beer on Wednesday. The Bossing were coming off a 108-105 victory against the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters until they were destroyed by the Beermen, dropping them to 1-2. The Bolts were in a flawless two-game run until falling to the Dyip. Both teams want to regain momentum before their match at Antipolo. Rosario's return is undoubtedly a positive news for the Bossing given their ceiling shortage. The 6-foot-4 forward, who joined the Bossing from TNT, has only appeared in five games since his move. Plantar fasciitis and a bone spur surgery cut short his time in the Commissioner's Cup. Rey Publico, who was activated in Rosario, has been placed on the injured/reserve list. Glover and his response to the rumored arrival of a potential replacement are also in the spotlight. Whatever the case, Glover will have a difficult time defeating the Bolts and their all-around import McDaniels. Following their upset by the Jordan Williams-led Terrafirma Dyip, McDaniels might be in for another tumultuous evening. Compared to Williams' 29 points, eight rebounds, five steals, and three assists, the Meralco import had 29 points and 19 rebounds.
  5. Permitta vs Complexity Team Permitta initially makes an appearance for this matchup after losing to FURIA in the upper bracket round of 16 of the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-in. Prior to discussing the defeat suffered by the Poles in their most recent match, it is discussing the defeat suffered by the Poles in their most recent match, it is important to keep in mind the goals of the organization for the current competition. Permitta, the participant with the lowest world ranking among the 16 competitors, finds it nearly impossible to advance to the main event because they must also defeat Cloud9 in the following round. The team faced Furia eSports, currently the best organization in Brazil, in the Play-opening in’s match, and they were completely destroyed. The Poles “entered the wheel” tactical of FURIA despite starting from the advantageous side on the mirage (counter terrorists) map, and were unable to organize themselves defensively, losing the first half by 4-11. They were unable to score any more points in the second half and were defeated by a score of 4-16. However, the CompLexity team is present for this matchup despite losing to BIG in Upper bracket round of 16 of the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-in. Before discussing the Americans’ loss in their most recent game, it’s important to keep in mind the organization’s goals for the current competition. Even if you think acompLexity can defeat Permitta in this round, moving on to the main event will be very challenging because they need to defeat either Cloud9 or ENCE in the following round. The team had the advantage in the first Play-in match against BIG, the best organization in Germany right now, but ultimately fell short in a competitive contest. Acting in the role of Anubis, AcompLexity began on the defensive (counter-terrorists) side and presented a disjointed first half with several gaps, starting at a significant disadvantage by 4-11. They were much better in the second half compared to the first, but they were unable to change the outcome and lost by a score of 16-12. Evil Geniuses vs Sprout Team Evil Geniuses initially makes an appearance for this matchup after losing to Fnatic in the upper bracket round of 16 of the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-in. Before we discuss how the Americans lost their most recent game, it is important to keep in mind the goals of the organization for the current competition. Even though they think the EG team can win the tournament after this round, they shouldn’t advance to the championship match since they will either play Spirit or NiP in the preliminary round. The squad faced Fnatic, a Swedish organization, in the Play-opening in's match, and had no chance of success at all. On the Inferno map, they had a very poor offensive (terrorist) side strategically because they failed to use strong entry in the closing moments of the rounds in their opponents' explosives. As a result, they were 312 behind their opponents at the beginning of the game. Though they fielded a stronger counterterrorism team in the second half, the gap between the two teams was very large, and they ultimately fell short by an 8–16 score overall. However, Sprout's squad is present for this matchup after losing to OG in the Upper bracket round of 16 at the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-in. It is important to keep in mind the organization's goals for the current competition before delving into the German organization's setback in its most recent encounter. Even though they are ranked better than their opponents in this round, I think they will lose to EG; if they move on, they will have little chance of beating Spirit or Ninjas in Pajamas and should be ousted in the Play-in. The squad lost in a closely contested match in the Play-initial in's encounter against the European organization of OG. They began operating as terrorists on the inferno map and were defeated by the smallest possible round differential (7–8); in the second half, they were able to defeat their opponents by an identical margin and tie the game at 15–15. They ultimately performed poorly in overtime and lost by a score of 16–19.
  6. PBA Governor's Cup Phoenix Super LPG vs NorthPort In the PBA Governors Cup, Phoenix Super LPG and Northport have each had a difficult start. Tomorrow's game will be crucial since both of the contenders are at 0-3 right now and would love nothing more than to start the season-ending tournament on a winning note. Particularly Phoenix, which hopes to apply the lessons it discovered after losing to powerhouse San Miguel Beer last Sunday by a score of 93-114. Interim Coach Jamike Jarin pointed out that "Against San Miguel we were down by 33 but we got that down to 11, 10, but unfortunately they made some big shots.” But as a coach, you should be pleased with what your players are accomplishing, so just keep working hard, Jarin advised. The SMB game was only the most recent in a line of disappointments for the Fuel Masters, who nearly lost to another pre-tournament favorite in TNT, 119-123, in their conference opener last January 22 before losing to Blackwater just two days later, 105-108. Jarin said, "Unfortunately, the schedule was tough for us. We played three games in five days. We fought well in the first two games, only losing by four and three; could have gone either way. Against San Miguel, we ran into a juggernaut. We started well then, all of a sudden, we couldn't make a basket, especially from the outside. Iyun lang, it didn't result in victories, but Jarin added, "We're all staying positive because we like what we see, the battling heart, the culture that we want to inculcate in our business. "But we still have the mindset that we'll continue to compete. We should stay with a positive (outlook), na we're still competing but we were just unfortunate. So... morale is very high, that we could compete with the best." NorthPort also had a discouraging opening week, losing to Meralco by five and NLEX by nine before being thrashed by Converge by 30 on the first day. Both Javee Mocon and NorthPort's Robert Bolick could have made a significant difference for their sides, but the Phoenix forward would still be sidelined because of a recent knee procedure, and the latter's contract disputes are still ongoing. Rain or Shine vs Converge When Converge and the still winless Rain or Shine square off on Thursday, February 2, the goal is for Converge to remain unbeaten and maintain its early lead in the standings. The Elasto Painters team is equally anxious to break out of its skid and stomp into the victory column as the FiberXers are to extend their conference winning streak to four games in their 6:45 p.m. matchup. encounter. The 4:30 p.m. first game features a perfect matchup between Phoenix and NorthPort, two winless clubs that are each seeking a breakthrough. Head coach Aldin Ayo is still not satisfied with what he has been seeing from his players despite them passing their most difficult test to date by defeating Magnolia, 111-109, last Sunday, Jan. 29. He hopes to have import Jamaal Franklin to become more accustomed to their system. "Possession by possession is how we play both on offense and defense, but Jamaal is still getting used to our system. We are very predictable right now, I can say that," said Ayo.
  7. Cloud 9 vs IHC The Cloud9 team, which is presently ranked number 12 in the world by HLTV, first shows up for their first appearance of the current season. Since the Russians only "won" one significant title last year, we cannot declare that they performed exceptionally well. First of all, it's important to keep in mind that the team was well-known at the time of the epidemic, having risen from less significant competitions to the top of the world in 2021, taking home seven major trophies in that year. After last season's results didn't go as planned, the cast underwent a shift that hadn't been implemented since 2021. I think it was a wise choice to take off Timofey "interz" Yakushin from the starting lineup because he hadn't played well in a while. Talented Kazakh player Timur "buster" Tulepo, who was fired from the previous Virtus Pro in mid-May last year and has now officially rejoined the professional scene, has taken his spot. On the other hand, the IHC Esports team also participates in the year's first pertinent competition. The Mongols, who are now ranked 36th in the world and are widely regarded as being the finest team in Asia, are becoming more common in the major competitions under the "Tier S" scenario. Due to IHC Esports' inexperience in international events, it is indisputable that opponents last year cheered when they came into contact with them. To be even better prepared for 2023, the squad should play balanced games against large corporations while showcasing all of its technical prowess. The youthful Mongolian team that competed in the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage didn't be ran over on any of the seven maps they played on, winning at least nine rounds on every one of them. It's also important to keep in mind that they defeated the Brazilian squad 00Nation by a score of two maps to one during an elimination match. They entered three major events for the current season, IEM Katowice 2023, IEM Rio Brazil 2023, and ESL Pro League Season 17, starting at the rate of a top-tier organization. ENCE vs PAIN The ENCE team initially debuts for the first match of the season at position 15 in the world rankings. Undoubtedly, the 2022 season was both successful for the ENCE organization, who rose to become the third-best team in the world, and disappointing for their team, who failed to take home any notable championships. Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia and Valdemar "valde" Bjorn were recently added to the lineup in an attempt to reformat it, although the results were never as pertinent as they were at that time. But the question still stands: how did the ENCE squad achieve such high levels and even third place in the HLTV world rating last season? This occurred as a result of the team finishing second in several of the major international "Tier S" competitions. For instance, they finished second in the ESL Pro League Season 15, second in IEM Dallas 2022, and last but not least, second at ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022. The paiN team, on the other hand, is ranked 27th in the globe and will play in its first official match of the season. The team's performance last year was the best of its players' careers; not only had they never held a position so important in the world, but they were also regarded as the second-best CS:GO team in Brazil. Without a doubt, we should recall the historic trophy in the "Tier A" scenario that Australia earned when they triumphed in the ESL Challenger Melbourne and the CCT North America Series 2. Despite not being regarded as one of the favorites for the championship in the primary contests of the scene, paiN is now respected in the "Tier S" scenario and is seen as a dangerous squad for the reasons described above. The Brazilian organization participated in some significant competitions in 2022, including the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 and the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown North America, where they were able to compete against some of the best teams in the world and even take home a Vitality map at the time. MIBR vs NIP The MIBR team initially makes an appearance for the first meaningful competition of the season while holding the 33rd-best ranking in the entire world. The Made in Brasil (MIBR) squad, ranked third in the HLTV world rankings, behind only Furia and paiN, is expected to return in 2023 with a minor makeover. Jhonatan "jOTA" William moved to Imperial and was replaced by Felipe "insani" Yuji, a young and gifted player who played for the MIBR (MIBR Academy) younger teams and will have his first shot at making the main squad. But as was already said, the Brazilian organization will compete in this contest for the first time this year, having already participated in the ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference North America. The newly promoted young " insani " to the main line-up was obviously lacking in teamwork in this small league, which only had three organizations and offered two direct spots for the ESL Pro League Season 17. However, MIBR managed to demonstrate an excellent technical level in their matches played against Nouns and ATK, winning one of the places. The Ninjas in Pajamas squad, on the other hand, makes an appearance in this matchup after competing in the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 the previous week. It is important to keep in mind the primary lineup adjustments made for the current season before delving into the Swedish team's performance in the last tournament. Hampus "hampus" Poser recently parted relations with the group, and Kristian "k0nfig" Wieneck, a superb Danish player, has taken his place. Daniil "headtr1ck" Valitov, a promising young player from Ukraine, was also added to the team. The Ninjas in Pajamas team produced excellent games for BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 during their previous competition campaign, but they only managed to take home one series victory in the competition, which came in a match against the Germans from BIG that they defeated by a score of 2 maps to 0. They faced Natus Vincere twice and Astralis once in the other three rounds. They did well in each of them, but in the pivotal third map, they lost every chance they had, demonstrating considerable difficulty in taking the last map.

  12. BetBoom vs Virtus.Pro Following the failure of The International, BetBoom Team made the decision to completely alter its makeup. Numerous star players have joined the new roster, but it is still unclear whether they will be able to communicate with one another. Save – hasn't had much ma5tch practice, which could have an impact on his current form. TORONTOKYO climbed to the fifth spot. How he will perform in a new role created just for him is still unknown. Additionally, Nightfall struggled in America for a very long time without any success. Only the first and second positions are subject to questions. Last year, GPK and Pure played very forcefully, and they now appear to be their team’s main offensive threats. Despite any potential issues, the BetBoom Team’s makeup stands head and shoulders above all other CIS first division representatives. On paper, the men ought to have no trouble winning the competition. Theoretically, Team Spirit or Darkside could stop them, but the first matches revealed that the main rivals are out of shape and prone to errors. The BetBoom Team’s upcoming season appears to be a cakewalk, and important games already await them at the Major. Virtus.pro was able to participate in the tier-2 competition and test the new squad prior to the commencement of the next Dota Pro Circuit season. The group took part in Dota 2 Champions League Season 17, but afterward, Koma had to be changed out for krylat. The team made a poor impression at the BetBoom Xmas Show. The Bears finished in fourth position with two victories and two defeats. Before the season even begins, Virtus.pro appears to be one of the division's underdogs because of the tournament's subpar competition. Nemiga, who had already suffered two defeats on the Dota Pro Circuit, defeated the team without a chance. How Virtus.pro will be able to compete for the Major is unclear. It will be a fantastic outcome of the DPC if the squad keeps its spot in the top level. It cannot be claimed that one point substitution will fix everything or that one person is dragging VP down. HellRaisers vs One Move It's been a bit of a roller-coaster year for HellRaisers, as it has been for many CIS squads. They performed admirably in the first DPC tour after reaching Tier 1 at the end of last year, only to fall to a lesser tier in the subsequent tour. However, they quickly demonstrated once more that they belong among the elites and returned with a far more potent team after replacing four of their five players—three of them were replaced by players of significantly higher talent and market value. Another team that will be closely watched during the upcoming DPC season is HellRaisers. They have a ton of talent and expertise, with Solo, Daxak, and Antares' and MieRo"s and the melancholy kid's (for what it's worth, we hope he feels better) youth and the vast experience of Solo and Daxak's well balancing each other. Numerous CIS players will suffer if their starting lineup gels. In fact, their defeat of Nigma Galaxy at the BetBoom XMas Show has already sparked some questions. One Move, who advanced to Tier 1 in the second DPC tour of last year and managed to remain competitive in the third, has successfully navigated through a number of changes over the course of a year. They also performed admirably in the EEU TI Qualifier, going all the way to the LB Semifinal before falling to the e team in the LB Final after losing their Upper Bracket game to BetBoom. It couldn't have been simple to defeat Mind Games and HellRaisers, and One Move definitely belongs in Tier 1. Despite this, One Move is currently mostly obscure, given the numerous alterations they have experienced even after TI. The other players, besides AfterLife and Pantomem, have altered since their aforementioned adventures. Munkushi, the youngest of the three, is relatively new to the professional arena, but Ainkrad and Gilgir have both been active for some time in the lower divisions. There is a lot of potential here, but it is still unclear whether these players can manage pressure and top-level competition.

  14. Team Secret vs Team OG Team Secret was unable to claim victory in The International 2022. With a score of 0-3, the squad was defeated by Tundra Esports in the championship game. However, this outcome appears to be more than successful given that the team began their trip with qualifications. Nisha, however, chose to try his hand at another team, therefore the company was obliged to hunt for a successor over the break. He was replaced by BOOM, which appears to be a fantastic choice for Team Secret. In Gladiators, Miroslav served as the primary strike unit. With better-trained and more seasoned colleagues, he has the potential to surpass the best midfielders in the entire globe. Currently, the squad appears strong. Crystallis, who appears to be a weak link, raises some doubts, but he has potential that will be easier to realize in Team Secret's second season. Prior to the commencement of the Dota Pro Circuit 2023, the "secret". At the most recent The International, OG finished seventh or eighth. This outcome cannot be characterized as a failure, especially in light of the fact that the players only suffered postseason losses to Tundra Esports and Team Liquid. However, the company opted to switch from ATF to DM during the interval. This replacement has an odd appearance. Of sure, the Russian player is knowledgeable about the game and has a strong selection of heroes, but it's not worthwhile to claim that he will improve the team. All of OG's major achievements to date are related to Ceb, who took Misha's place. Uncertainty exists regarding the captain's ability to plan the team's games in a way that will help them win the major. On the game's DM and bzm, too much will depend. The team's potential will be revealed in later matches, although so now it appears to be less strong than Tundra Esports, Team Liquid, and Team Secret. I.T. Breach vs Entity The British organization floated around Division 1's fringe for a while until ultimately bursting, well, into the breach during last season's final tour. They are the only virtually entirely unknown quantity of this season's first DPC trip. Many of the players have faced Tier 1 competition in the past as substitutes or for other teams, but the WEU Qualifier from the previous season was the only time they really faced Tier 1 opposition as a team. It remains to be seen what they can accomplish in the major leagues, albeit they have since replaced their Position 4 player. ITB hasn't done much yet, other than push Team Secret to the limit whenever they faced off against the European powerhouses. They also eliminated goonsquad and Team Bald Reborn on their route to finishing fourth at the aforementioned WEU Qualifier. Supream, Xibbe, and new addition Immersion are among of their most well-known players, and they will be crucial in preparing this new team for the pressure of high-level Dota. Speaking of disappointments from the previous TI, Entity appeared to have everything it would take to dominate every team with their unconventional picks and methodical play, but it wasn't meant to be. They later lost Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, a previous Position 1 player, to BetBoom Team, but Alimzhan "Watson" Islambekov, a talented Kazakh, bolstered their team. Despite never having played for a top-tier team, Islambekov has proven that he is prepared for the big time. Islambekov previously moved HellRaisers into Tier 1 after winning Division 2 during the third DPC Tour last year. Although Entity hasn't quite become Tundra, its climb in the Dota ranks has been nothing short of meteoric. Entity first gained notoriety by defeating more well-known teams. So far, they appear to excel at qualifiers and do well at Majors until they reach the latter stages. However, despite average or subpar performances on LAN, the Indian organization remains a serious danger to the more seasoned Dota clans in Western Europe. Nigma Galaxy vs Tundra Miracle left Nigma Galaxy at the beginning of the season after deciding to take time off from his professional career. Obviously, this is a setback for the club, but ATF has stepped in to fill the void and it appears to be a wise move. It is true that the team's upgraded lineup failed to place in the first competition. The team was invited directly to the playoffs at the BetBoom Xmas Show, however Nigma Galaxy lost every game they played to Entity and HellRaisers. All made poor plays. The group was clueless. Even he was unable to assist the ATF when they attempted to give him his distinctive Timbersaw. KuroKy presents a poor image because he is either completely useless on the map or he steals kills from his cows, purchases odd gear, and ultimately only makes matters worse. It seems improbable that Nigma Galaxy was able to add significantly in a week. Given that she would be competing against the world's best squad in the forthcoming match. Tundra Esports' fantastic performances continue to enthrall its followers. Many people feared that the team's nearly three-month break after winning The International 2022 would prevent them from being motivated enough to play with assurance in the Dota Pro Circuit 2023. The first match, however, entirely demolished these ideas. Tundra Esports performed admirably in the contest with OG. The squad started off weaker on the first map, but they handled all the pressure and completed it well. Tundra Esports is also the owner of the second map. Despite bzm's strong performance, the reigning world champions' collaboration was superior. In five months, Tundra Esports hasn't suffered a defeat. The club plays with a lot of strength and should have no trouble with Nigma Galaxy. Face-to-face interactions also support Tundra Esports.
  15. The most formidable Chinese force no longer appears to be what it once was because PSG.LGD will have three new players on the field at once in the upcoming season, turning the champion team into a regular tier-2 stack. The new players were not even related by name to those who left the roster following the failure at TI11. Kerry Ame took a sabbatical and brought in teenage prodigy Shiro from EHOME to replace the inactive carry. The same team produced the new four planets, and the primary hire with the symbol”?” is Lee Longwu, a 19-year-old offlaner from CDEC Gaming. Due to the CDEC Gaming position, Dawn Gaming, a brand-new squad in the Chinese industry, has gained access to the elite level. Players from tier-3 teams LBZS and Roster Saiyan make up the team. At the end of December, the new squad was able to compete in Tier 3 of the Moon Studio Campfire event. Yes, the team will advance to the tournament's playoffs, but the Dawn Gaming roster failed to display any impressive play in their battles with KOBOLDS (0:2) and Neon Esports (0:2).
  16. EHOME vs Invictus The makeup of EHOME changes significantly each year. Shiro’s squad performed admirably last season, but they were unable to advance to the TI11 stage. Additionally, youthful players were swiftly grouped into more successful tags as a result of the Chinese off-shots seasons and really international roster adjustments. Simply said, there were no more well-known players on the professional circuit, therefore the EHOME team once more had to seek for unknown guys to sign. Two Malaysian and three Chinese gamers made up the newly established Unity Gaming squad, which was signed by the company’s leaders to remedy the issue. The BTS Pro Series Season 13: Southeast Asia competition saw EHOME play two matches with the new squad, although they were both defeated by Geek Fam (0:2) and Execration (1:2). During the group stage, this After a year, the Invictus Gaming team rejoins the Chinese DPC league’s top Division. The only Player who has consistently played for the IG since 2018 is the carry of the first position Emo. However, the team has a new roster for 2023. The IG veteran’s new teammates are Dust from Team MagMa, Irving, also from Team MagMa, who will play as the new offlaner and Poloson from Team SMG and QYQX from the same Team Magma who will play as supports. Super, who had previously led the Royal Never Give up lineup, served as the team’s coach.
  17. PBA Commissioner's Cup Barangay Ginebra vs Bay Area Dragons In Game 3 of the 2022 PBA Commissioners’ Cup Finals on Wednesday night at the Araneta Coliseum, the Bay Area Dragons dominated Barangay Ginebra 99-82. In order to secure a comparatively easy victory, the Dragons built a double-digit lead at the half before holding off the Gin Kings’ comeback attempt in the second half. Bay Area was able to tie the best of seven championship series after the Dragons overcame a 96-81 setback in Game 1 on Christmas Day thanks to the outcome. Additionally, this was the first conference victory for Bay Area against the Gin Kings; they lost their encounter in the elimination round, 111-93. Although Zhu Songwei rightly won the Player of the Game honors after delivering 25 points, 6 assists, and five rebounds while leading the defense against Ginebra import Justin Brownlee, Andrew Nicholson was outstanding for Bay Area with 30 points and 15 rebounds. According to Bay Area coach Brian Goorjian, "Brownlee was a huge element, and this matchup was essential," noting that Zhu’s foul problems in the series opener significantly affected their game plan. Coach Brian also added, “Tonight, he kept it under control and helped us get the lead. We also competed with them on the glass," he also said, “we defended without fouling. To move forward, we got to stay on that page." Hayden Blankley scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, rebounding from a dismal performance in Game 1. Bay Area made 50% of their shots and held the Gin Kings to 38.4% from the field. They broke away with a 30-point second quarter, going into the half with a comfortable 52-35 lead. The Gin Kings, fueled by a crowd of over 16,000 spectators at the Big Dome, made a second-half rally and got within five points, 68-63, after a Japeth Aguilar and –1 with over 11 minutes remaining in the game. However, it turned out to be the Gin Kings’ last stand. On the other end, Nicholson replied with his own three-point play, igniting a 9-0 run finished by a Blankley triple that restores the Bay Area advantage to double digits, 77-63. Justin Brownlee tried his hardest to keep Ginebra in the game, hitting three consecutive three-pointers to make it 82-72 with 7:20 remaining. But the Dragons had too much firepower, so Nicholson joined forces with Blankley and Ju Mingxin to help them draw away once more. With 2:18 left on two charities by Zhu, the Dragons led by 20 points,99-79, and crushed from there. Despite competing head-to-head with Nicholson, Brownlee finished with 32 points after making 28 field goals. As LA Tenorio was limited to only eight points on 3-of-11 shooting after scorching Bay Area for 22 in Game 1, Jamie Malonzo was the only other Gin Kings to score in double figures with 10. In addition to just getting 3 rebounds, Scottie Thompson only managed 9 points. Before the Game 3 of the finals at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 4, there will be a break in the series.
  18. With fewer players than usual, the New Orleans Pelicans just played one of their finest games of the year. They expect to be more powerful when they faced Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. Despite the absence of their top two scorers, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, the Pelicans upset the visiting Indiana Pacers 113-93 on Monday night. Herbet Jones Jr., another starter, was also in health and safety standards. Trey Murphy III and Dyson Daniels were both absent from the rotation. Williamson, who has missed the previous three games, stated after practice Tuesday that he will play against the Wolves, and head coach Willie Green stated that Murphy and Daniels are both likely. All nine players that were available in New Orleans played at least 17 minutes, and all but one scored. “There was no time where it was like, 'Let's try to make it a game,” William said. “It was a simple message: ‘We’re about to go out here to win this game, and we’re going to execute,’ and they did. "We have a deep team - so many different pieces that can be utilized on any given night." Despite their absences, the Pelicans limited Indiana to 38 points in the first half, the fewest they have allowed in a half this season while the Pacers’ 93 pointes were the third fewest the Pelicans have allowed in a game. The Pelicans have won 12 of their previous 14 home games, with defeats to the top two teams in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks. New Orleans has won three straight games despite missing important players while Minnesota has dropped three straights. Karl-Anthony Towns, an All-Star big man for the Timberwolves, has been out for the last month with a calf injury, and three rotational players, Kyle Anderson, Tauren Prince and Jordan McLaughlin, were also out from Monday’s 113-110 loss to Miami. The Wolves had 22 turnovers despite shooting 54.4 percent from the field. Due to this, the Heat attempted 102 shots as opposed to 79 for Minnesota. The turnovers were significant, according to Naz Reid of Minnesota, who had 21 points off the bench. “That’s 22 shots we didn’t get,” he said. With 2.5 seconds remaining, the Wolves pressured Miami into missing a shot but were unable to try a possible game-tying shot due to a “fitting” turnover according to head coach Chris Finch. In contrast to the Pelicans, who are in the middle of a three-game homestand, the Wolves will be playing their third game of a four-game road trip.
  19. The first season of DPC in 2023 will start on January 9, 2023. According to a tweet from Team Secret, the division 1 regional league will kick off the Winter Tour on January 9 and run until January 29. The culmination of it will be a Winter Major that will be place from February 24 to March 5. The division 1 regional league will run from March 13 to April 2 following the conclusion of the Winter Tour and the start of the Spring Tour on March 13. The Spring Major, which will be held from April 28 to May 7, will again serve as its conclusion. The Summer Major will occur from June 30 to July 9 after the regional league, for the Summer Tour runs from May 15 to June 4. Despite several rumors, we are still unsure of the precise locations of each of the three Majors. At a later time, an official announcement is anticipated. The most noticeable difference here is that the trips are just three weeks long as opposed to the six-week excursions seen in past years; this move has made it difficult to hold third-party events without clashing with the DPC. This modification may possibly allow for more third-party events in 2023 and beyond. It also implies that teams have more leeway in making roster changes between tours. It also means that the tours will be more intense than ever before, with the same number of matches played in half time. That isn’t the only alteration that will occur in 2023. According to Beyond the Summit (BTA) co-founder David "LD" Gorman’s October tweet, BTS will not organize a regional division of the Dota Pro Circuit next year. In fact, LD placed doubt on the entire concept that they would be creating any DOTA content at all moving ahead. It’s significant departure for BTS, which has been hosting DOTA competitions since 2012. In place of BTS, PGL announced in December that it has obtained the rights to host the WEU and NA Winter, Spring, and Summer Tours. Last year’s International was marred by production concerns, with players complaining about a lack of soundproof booths, which meant they could hear the commentators during a match. Given that casters not only lead spectators through a match but also offer updates on significant events and strategic decisions, any player who is listening in will have a distinct edge. PGL handled this problem by decreasing the caste’s volume in the arena, making it more difficult for the audience to hear. PGL was also chastised for having remote panels during the International, forcing many journalists to cover the event from foreign content. It is unclear whether this choice will be repeated in the 2023 season.
  20. The Brooklyn Nets won seven games in a row by defeating generally losing opponents and frequently pulling through in the clutch. But on Friday, they decisively defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by 18 points to earn their eighth straight victory. When the Nets visit the Cleveland Cavaliers, another elite club in the Eastern Conference, on Tuesday, they will be aiming for their ninth straight victory. The Nets had only two victories in the run vs teams with winning records: Atlanta and Indiana, both 17-16, before holding the lead for the last 42:56 of the 118-100 victory over the Bucks. The Nets limited Milwaukee to a field goal percentage of 44 and a 3-point percentage of 24.3 dominating Golden State by as much as 44 points on Wednesday. Brooklyn Player Kyrie Irving said, "This is our group; we’re just rocking, having fun playing a great brand of basketball, doing the little things, and it’s resulting in some wins. It’s a long season, but this is a nice point that we’re at right now, and we feel good, so we just want to keep it up. We don’t want to take our foot off the accelerator." Additionally, neither of Brooklyn’s most recent victories required Kevin Durant to exert a lot of effort. Although he had a lot of assistance, Durant finished with 24 points on Friday after scoring 23 on Wednesday. In the fourth quarter, when the Nets held Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokounmpo scoreless, Irving scored 14 of his 18 points. Cleveland has recently been almost as hot as the Nets, who are 12-1 in their last 13 games. The Cavaliers are 14-6 in their previous 20 games since their five-game losing streak from last month, but they are also aiming to avoid consecutive defeats for the first time since that run. Cleveland’s five-game winning streak was snapped on Friday when it was defeated 118-107 by Toronto Raptors. Although Cleveland made over 50% of its shots for the 15th time, it gave up a season-high 19 3-pointers to the NBA’s worst 3-point shooting team and trailed by as many as 26 points early in the third when coach J.B. his starters were benched by Bickerstaff. With 17 points and 15 more than Isaac Okoro, Darius Graland led the Cavaliers. Donovan Mitchell, a star who averages 28.9 points per game, was limited to 12 points on 4-of-16 shooting after scoring 36 points in the victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday. After a victory like the one we had over Milwaukee, Mitchell stated, "You can say you have nights like that, but it was kind of frustrating to come out the way we did as a group, especially the starter. I put it on the starting five. We’ll be better; we’ll learn from it, and we’ll go on, but it’s difficult to come out as a group the way we did. "
  21. Against their archrival Bucks, the Nets risk their seven-game winning run. Making plays down the stretch the fourth quarter allowed the Brooklyn Nets to capture the first six victories of their winning run. The Nets’ seventh victory was one of the NBA’s most impressive offensive displays of the year, and they’re eager to see how their follow-up effort holds up when they visit the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks in Friday night. The Nets are averaging 125.1 points, shooting 55.9 percent from the field, and making 42.6 percent of their 3-point attempts during their seven-game winning run. In addition, Brooklyn has averaged 28.1 assists, 6.9 steals, and 5.9 blocks since its previous defeat on December 4 against the Boston Celtics. Thanks to a faultless performance in a 143-113 thrashing of the visiting Golden State Warriors, who were missing Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins, Brooklyn’s statistic during the streak greatly climbed on Wednesday. The Nets led the Warriors by as much as 44 points and had scored 91 points at halftime, which is the third-highest total in NBA history for a first half, which is the third-highest total in NBA history for a first half. This comes after they overcame a double-digit deficit in their previous two victories. With 42 assists, the most in the NBA this season, Brooklyn set season highs in points, field goal percentage, 3-pointer and assists. The Brooklyn coach, Jacque Vaughn, observed, “Every day’s game presents itself. We have a chance to face Milwaukee on Friday, which provides us a chance to test out our level of concentration against a very good team tonight. You take care of business.” Kyrie Irving missed the Nets’ excellent performance because he strained his right calf during Wednesday's workout. Nine players scored in double figures without Irving, but no one played more than 29 minutes. By halftime, Edmond Summer had added 16 points; Royce O’Neale had added 14, and Kevin Durant had tallied 21 of his 23 total points. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 of his 43 points in the second half of the Nets’ 110-99 loss at Milwaukee on October 26. This season, the Nets are 5-6 versus teams with winning records. Durant stated, "It's a championship-caliber team that's going to give us a tough test. And we're looking forward to it." After missing Saturday’s defeat to Utah due to sore knees Antetokounmpo has put together two games with 40 or more points. After suffering a 114-106 defeat at Cleveland on Wednesday, the Bucks are 3-2 when he scores at least 40 points. Since winning four straight games, Milwaukee has split its last six contest, and on Wednesday, it was unable to overturn a 15-point lead after the first quarter. The Bucks struggled to find secondary scoring as Khris Middleton missed his third consecutive game due to a sore right knee and will miss another one on Friday. Antetokounmpo ended with a season-high 45 points.
  22. Bulls vs Knicks The Chicago Bulls team will visit the New York Knicks on Friday in an effort to cap off a successful road trip after they suffered their first seatback in more than two weeks. DeMar DeRozan scored 28 points; Zach LaVine scored 22 points, and Nikola Vucevic scored 20 points as Chicago won its second consecutive game of a four-game road trip on Wednesday on Atlanta, 110-108. Ayo Dosunmu finished off a nine-point performance off the bench with the game-winning shot with seconds remaining to the clock. After winning on Wednesday, Dosunmu stated, according to the Chicago Tribune, "Two in a row, that's how you build. We are aware of our potential and capabilities; therefore, all that is left is for us to take action." With a victory Friday in New York, the Bulls can win three straight games for the first time this season after winning 113-103 on Tuesday in Miami before Wednesday’s buzzer-beater. Chicago has won back-to-back games despite a turbulent week for the team. According to a story in the Athletic, there may be tension in the Bulls’ locker room as a result of Chicago’s poor start to the season, which has left them five games under .500. On Tuesday, DeRozan batted off the claims that he and LaVine were at odds. After the victory in Miami, DeRozan told reports, “To give any type of confrontation is just a true sign of a competitor. Frustration sets in when you want to win, and things aren’t going your way”. Guard Lonzo Ball told reporters shortly after the piece become public that he “can’t give you a specific timeline”, for his recovery formed a knee injury sustained in January. Chicago is looking for its first three-game winning streak of the season while New York is looking to start a new streak after its run of eight straight victories came to an end last Wednesday with a defeat to Toronto 113-106. Against the Raptors, RJ Barrett and Julius Randle each scored 30 points, but Randle’s two missed shots proved crucial in the outcome. With 45 seconds left, Randle mishandled the balls as he went up for a shot that would have cut the New York deficit to two points. Pascal Siakam of Toronto scored 52 points against the Knicks. New York plays a team that lost to them twice during the 8-game winning streak as it attempts to recuperate. On December 14, the Knicks triumphed 128-120 in overtime thanks to Randle’s 31 points and Jalen Brunson’s. One game later, New York easily defeated the Bulls, 114-91, with the help of 27 points from Barrett, 22 points apiece from Brunson and Quentin Grimes and 19 points from Randle.
  23. Bay Area’s quest to conclude their PBA guest participation with a title will take them through one of the league’s top squads and its legions of supporters. Following their semifinal clinchers on Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena, the Dragons and Barangay Ginebra set up an interesting showdown for the Commissioner's Cup trophy, with two accomplished coaches ready for a difficult challenge. On Christmas Day, the two sides begin their battle for the championship in a best of seven series that will be unfamiliar to Australia national Basketball League champion coach Brian Goorjian and the bronze medalist form the Tokyo Olympics. "Nothing but love for that squad, nothing but respect for Tim Cone," said Goorjian after Bay Area ended San Miguel Beer’s Grand Slam hopes by defeating them 94-92 in Game 4 of their semifinal matchup. “They dominated us the first time they played us; they dominated the semifinals; they dominated the quarterfinals; they dominated the end of their season.” The Dragons will attempt to join the list of visiting teams that have claimed PBA crowns, but the Kings will make the local teams’ final stand in this conference. The final of the teams was Northern Consolidated Cement (NCC), which the late, great coach Ron Jacobs and Dennis Still, a naturalized player for NCC, were friend's element to the Australian national team coach’s quest for the championship. The Kings delivered the Dragons their first setback here, defeating them 111-93. Despite entering the Finals as the favorite, the squad will still have the pain form that defeats. However, Bay Area has made significant improvement since then, as proven by the manner they defeated San Miguel in the race to three games, 3-1. The Dragons intended to keep expanding. Goorjian added, “I’m hoping we got better and hope we get an opportunity to practice till the 25th, and there’ll be no excuses.” “I’ve never gone to the NBA, and I've never played in a seven-game series.” In four games, Ginebra defeated Magnolia, their semifinal opponent, and Wednesday night’s 99-84 blowout guaranteed a finals spot. Cone is also not placing too much emphasis on the King’s victory over the Dragons in the elimination round.
  24. When the Wizards visit Jazz, Kyle Kuzma returns to a place he is familiar with. The University of Utah men’s basketball team faced No. 20 TCU on the NBA floor just next to campus on Wednesday night, taking advantage of a Utah Jazz off day. When the Washington Wizards visit the Jazz in Salt Lake City on Thursday night, a few players will be present in the same venue. Kyle Kuzma, a former star for Utah, is still in charge of the Wizards and is likely having his greatest NBA campaign to date. Kuzma had a crucial role in Washington's 121-112 victory over the Jazz in Washington, D.C. who had a total of 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists last month. The 2017 All-Pac-12 first most teamer’s recent performance came on Tuesday night when he led Washington to a 113-110 victory over Phoenix with 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. The victory ended a 10-game losing run for the Wizards, who had been winning six of their previous seven games coming into their game against Utah on November 12. Washington coach Wes Unseld Jr. said, “That’s a huge step for us. It’s something that we can continue to build on. You give yourself a chance. We minimized some of the mistakes that jumped us and bit us the last few games." With an average of 23.1 points and 7.0 rebounds during the Wizards’ dry spell, Kuzma was one of the few bright spots. Sometimes you create your own luck, according to Unseld, “These guys have continued to play hard, and the streak didn’t impact their competitive spirit.” I’m glad for those players: I know they’re both relieved and delighted at the same time. Some of those hustle plays, 50-50 balls, the charge that Taj Gibson took, those are the plays that bring you out of those ruts.” Delon Wright, a former point guard for the University of Utah, may or may not join Kyle Kuzma on the floor on Thursday. After missing nearly two months due to a hamstring injury, Wright may play versus Utah, Unseld told reporter in Phoenix. Kristaps Porzingis’ situation is also uncertain. With Porzingis missing Tuesday’s game against the Suns due to a non-COVID ailment, Unseld stated, “I don’t think it’s anything that’s substantial. Hopefully it’s just 24, 48-hour variety.” Porzingis scorched Utah for 31 points in Washington last month. The Jazz are coming home following a two-day road trip to the East. The swing started out with two blowout losses, in which they fell by an average of 24.5 points each, in Milwaukee and Cleveland before coming to a successful conclusion with a 126-111 victory in Detroit. Lauri Markkanen just scored 38 points, tying a career best, against the Pistons. In their prior encounter, he scored 17 points against the Wizards.
  25. Pelicans want to rebound against the Spurs despite being without their top scores. The New Orleans Pelicans were leading the Western Conference and on a seven-game winning streak less than two weeks ago. They have now lost four straight games, which have caused them to fall into third place. Losses to Phoenix and Milwaukee, both teams who had winning records, came after the losing run began with two games against Utah, which had a winning record. On Thursday night, New Orleans will take on the San Antonio Spurs, who are on the road and have the second worst record in the West. According to Pelicans guard CJ McCollum, “It’s part of the growing process. You’re going to go through times where everything is going great during the season. There’s also going to be time where you’re dealing with losing games, and you have to stop the bleeding. I think we have great chance with some games coming up to get back on the right track and truly see what we’re made of. I'm excited about the challenge. There are still a lot of games left in the season. It's just a matter of ebbs and flows and continuously playing the proper way, as well as attempting to develop winning habits.” The losing run began with a crushing defeat against Utah, but the previous three games have been far more competitive. In the second game, New Orleans lost in overtime to the Jazz, held a 24-point lead against the Suns before collapsing, then cut an 18-point fourth quarter deficit to three before dropping to Milwaukee on Monday. Coach Willie Green stated, “I love our fight.” “I told the guys that I love our energy, our fight, our effort. We just have to sustain it for 48 minutes.” Green stated during the practice on Wednesday that second-leading scorer Brandon Ingram, who has missed the past 11 games due to a bruised toe, will miss the game against the Spurs as well as at least one more. Zion Williamson, the team's leading scorer, will also be absent after following health and safety protocol on Wednesday. After dropping 11 consecutive games, the Spurs have won four of their past six. They defeated the Rockets 124-105 on Monday night in Houston, despite missing top scorer Keldon Johnson due to an injured back. Devin Vassell scored 26 points in his absence. Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said that “we had like six or seven guys play well on both side of the game.” They played with a lot more aggression in the second half, and winning an NBA game requires that. At the half, San Antonio was down by two points, but in the third quarter, San Antonio outscored Houston 32-14. The margin was subsequently increase to 97-76 after scoring the first five pints of the fourth quarter. Later in the period, the Spurs were up to 120-94.
