An interesting start to June, the game is to be held this Wednesday, at 7:05 AM. Heading into the field this June, the Yankees might be a little sour as the Los Angeles Dodgers have narrowly surpassed them on the MLB leaderboard. Freshly forced down into second place, we have good reason to believe this will rile the Yankees up quickly, and that’s dangerous for the Angels. If the Yankees are all fired up to reclaim their spot on top, the match will be beyond difficult for the Angels to maneuver. A lighter note for New York though, the season is still young, and the Dodgers are only one loss less from them. One thing they have to watch out though is they need to give Aaron Judge better support. His domination on the field is superior, no doubt, but their reliance on him can quickly become dangerous. A (Mike) Trout, Squid (Andrew Velasquez), and Thor (Noah Syndergaard). Quite the trio coming from the Angels, manager Perry Minasian is well-aware of their talent, depth, and potential. Admittedly though, Minasian knows they have a long way to go, but there are four months to work up to it. For their match against the Yankees, the most relevant question will always be: who is their starting pitch? As of the moment, it’s looking more and more like Reid Detmers. A young, ambitious addition to the bullpen, Detmers would be a good choice as long as he remains in tip-top shape, especially against New York. In the end, we have to make a choice, and that choice is the Yankees. We know siding with the hero is quite cliché, but there’s definitely fire to be expected from the time right now. With their intense catch-up rivalry with the Dodgers, New York has a bone to pick with Angelenos right now. Sorry, Angels. 7:05 AM, Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
