Mary C
Date of the Match: POTENTIAL STARTING LINEUPS: UTAH JAZZ: PG | Russell Westbrook SG | Avery Bradley SF | LeBron James PF | Stanley Johnson C | Dwight Howard LOS ANGELES LAKERS: PG | Reggie Jackson SG | Terance Mann SF | Marcus Morris Sr. PF | Nicolas Batum C | Ivica Zubac Two teams have the honor of representing the famed City of Angels, both a blessing and a curse for the 11 AM game this February 26, 2022 as they go head to head with each other. It’s Los Angeles Lakers against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Crypto.com Arena, in LA, California. Fans and enthusiasts alike are in for a treat this Saturday as this circumstance is a genuine gamechanger for both teams. Both teams have an 18-3 record playing home, but who has the upper hand when both are at home? In this match are two teams within the Western Conference, sitting next to each other with the Clippers at 8th and Lakers at 9th place. Both have more losses than wins but are still very much redeemable as Clippers garner 30-31 and Lakers 27-31. Looking at the numbers, the Lakers have the upper hand as they dominate the charts from points to fastbreak points throughout. The only aspects the Clippers beat them are with the 3 point percentage and free throw percentage, besides that the Lakers definitely nail that one in. In terms of players, two scoring leaders head each team with LeBron James and Russell Westbrook for the Lakers, and Reggie Jackson and Ivica Zubas for the Clippers. Put side-by-side, the numbers once again favor the Lakers. Both teams are struggling right now, especially when you take into consideration the amount of popularity and glory the Lakers have once amassed; who would’ve even thought that the King James would be settling at 9th place with the Lakers right now? Regardless of their current standing, however, we still believe that the Lakers will overtake this game with the Clippers for the reason that they need to. Russell Westbrook has yet to get within the team’s rhythm and coach Frank Vogel’s position is on the line. They have one too many problems on their plate and they need to lessen them now. Los Angeles Lakers likely to win by around 60%. 11 AM PST, Saturday, February 26, 2022. Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, CA.
