Back in October 2021, the Penguins wiped the Maple Leafs clean with a painful 7-1 match. November’s match followed shortly after and the Penguins won again with a 2-0 game. For Toronto, this match will be a means to prove themselves following those embarrassing experiences, to make a statement, if you will. The Leafs are fairing well at this point of the season, placing third in the Eastern Conference’s Atlantic Division, so they have a good fighting chance. Read on to see how we think the game will unfold. This NHL fixture is set for 8 AM (PST) this February 18 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. As the teams meet again, Toronto has no choice but to face October and November’s bitter defeats. What hurts more is that Pittsburgh beat them back in October without their key players, too. The Penguins truly proved themselves over those months, hockey enthusiasts all over expected the Leafs to win in both games but the Penguins pulled up and showed everyone that they’re in the NHL for a reason. What more now that the Penguins are more than ready to dominate once again? Goaltender Comparison Wins Losses OTL SO GA/G SV% Toronto Maple Leafs J. Campbell 22 7 3 4 2.38 .921 P. We’re just hoping the Leafs don’t get beat up as bad as they did back in October because that was just really unfortunate. Friday, February 18, 2022. 8 AM PST. Toronto, Canada.
