 CSGO: IEM Sprout vs Faze Clan | February 15, 2022 - 7:15PM

Sprout is a level 2.3 German team that rarely competes at tier-1, the team currently ranks 20th in the world, which is a great achievement. The squad went through some noteworthy changes a little more than a month ago. Staehr and Marix took their place when FaveN and KEi left. Sprout, unlike most other tier-1 teams, did not take a break in January and continued to compete in tier-2 and tier-3 events. Spiidi received $20,000 and a spot in the ESL Pro League Season 16 Conference after winning the ESEA Premier Season 39 Europe, where he secured a spot in the ESL Pro League Season 16 Conference.

IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In would be an excellent chance for the European team to gain experience against tier-1 teams, and Sprout is one step closer to achieving the tier-1 arena.

In the Play-in stage, Sprout will face FaZe Clan in a BO1 format for the first time. Despite the fact that Sprout has considerably better map statistics than FaZe, they are still newcomers in this battle, and it will be tough for them to compete versus FaZe. It's worth noting that Sprout scored in the tier-2.3 stage with this outcome on the maps, and with the European team's continuous play on the tier-1 stage, such numbers are implausible.

FaZe is a volatile team that could have done a lot more in 2021 and had a lot more success. FaZe Clan failed to win any of the major events last year. At the SteelSeries Invitational 2021, the European squad finished second, while at the IEM Cologne 2021 Pinnacle Fall Series 1 in 2021, the European squad finished third or fourth. It's worth noting that olofmeister was constantly on and off the roster. A talented young ropz took his spot, now with 1.34 KD in the last month. Unfortunately, FaZe was only able to compete in the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022, where he finished 1-3rd. Due to a coronavirus, he will have to miss the IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In.

For a while, the audience assumed that olofmeister would be back in the squad. As he travelled to New York, unfortunately, the player himself indicated that he would not compete for the squad. On the Play-in, ex Complexity player jks will join instead of ropz.
