It’s time and time again to place your bets— Oklahoma City Thunders vs. New York Knicks. The Thunders are coming in to represent the Western Conference at 14 while the Knicks are for the Eastern Conference, sitting at 12. These two teams are admittedly not the most exciting nor impressive with Oklahoma garnering a 17-39 win-loss record and New York with 25-32, it’s still fun to see these teams fight for their lives to avoid being called the worst in the NBA. The game is to set foot on Madison Square Garden, February 15th, 8:30 AM PST.

As Oklahoma is scheduled to visit the famous concrete jungle that is NYC, they’re also looking to end their five-lose streak. Per their last 10 games, Knicks has won 2/10 games, averaging 107.4 PTS, 47.4 REB, 22.4 AST, 7.6 STL, and 4.3 BLK per game while shooting 42.6% from the field. Thunder, on the other hand, has won 3/10 games averaging 102.1 PTS, 47.0 REB, 23.4 AST, 7.9 STL, and 5.3 BLK per game while shooting 42.1% from the field.

Looking at the players, Knicks’ Julius Randle carries the teams points, rebounds, and assists with 19.4, 10.6, and 5.2 respectively. RJ Barrett is also a sizeable asset for the team with 21.9 points and 4.6 rebounds. Thunder, consequently, has Josh Giddey in the lead with 12 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists. Luguentz Dort comes in second with 22.3 points and 5.3 rebounds over the last 10 games.

In the end, it all comes down to who we think we’ll win, doesn’t it? Plain and simple, New York Knicks. The Knicks might have lost Kemba Walker, they might not be the best three-pointers, nor do they have a decent defense, but the Thunders came into this season worse; worst offense, bad defense, and the worst net rating among all teams. Thunders also have a few rookies that they still need to work on and develop, at least the Knicks have slightly less things to worry about. We say it’s going to the Knicks this time.
