On February 6, 2022, the La Liga game is scheduled to occur between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, where the Camp Nou in Barcelona will be hosting. Currently in La Liga, Atletico stands at fourth with Barcelona falling behind at 5th. In their last match, Barcelona was able to claim the victory against Deportivo Alavés which ended with a 0-1. As for the visiting team, they enter this match preceding a win in the last round. With Atletico using a 4-4-2 formation, they were able to defeat the Valencia team with a final score of 3-2.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez might just be in for his biggest game ever this Sunday. As Barcelona meets with Atletico Madrid, this match could potentially function as a turning point in the competition to qualify for the Champions League next season.

As for the player who has been carrying the whole team, Frenkie de Jong scored one goal for Barcelona in the duel, and on top of that, he also aided the team in ensuring their victory.

For Atletico, ever since they won the league, it was evident that they were having a hard time in the most difficult season. But with key player Yannick Carrasco, the team might be looking forward to another victory. As a midfield, he was responsible for the best moments of Atletico.

Going back to the time where both teams went toe to toe against each other in La Liga, Barcelona stood in eighth place, while Atletico Madrid held onto fourth place. FC Barcelona opened the game in a 4-2-3-1 formation while Atletico charged with a 3-1-4-2 arrangement. That game was on October 2, 2021, and it ended with Atletico winning 2-0.

It is without a doubt that Atletico will surely try to keep Barcelona from winning and maintain their record as fourth. However, it is also certain that while Atletico’s defensive wall back from a few years ago was impressive, Barcelona’s strategy of a blunt attack can make the game even more challenging. In line with this, Barcelona will more likely win in La Liga.

Catch Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid for an interesting match at 11:15 PM PST, at Camp Nou in Barcelona.
