Mechanics

1. Entries assignment

Every day, all players who have placed at least one bet the day before will receive a number of entries that will participate to the daily draw.

Every day, you will receive:

• up to 5 entries depending on the amount you bet on sport the previous day
• up to 5 entries depending on the amount you bet on casino the previous day
• up to 5 entries depending on the number of bets you placed on sport the previous day
• up to 5 entries depending on the number of bets you placed on casino the previous day
• 1 entry for each day you placed at least one bet during the 15 days before. If you placed at least 1 bet every day during the past 15 days, you will receive 15 entries.

The number of entries you receive for each criteria is proportional to the average amount that players on 747 score on each criteria. For example: During the previous day, the average bet amount on sport of all players on 747 is 1,000 php, and you have bet 1,000 php, you will get 5 entries. If you have bet more, you will still take 5 entries. If you bet less than that, you will take less entries.

Entries are numbered starting from 1.

Entries are made of two parts: class and serial. The class indicates the day, and the serial indicates the progressive number of the entry in that day.

For example, the entry 9EK 24552 is to be read as:

9EK is the class, standing as day identifier (25 May 22).

24552 is the progressive entry number for that day.

In the same day, all players will receive entries with the same class.

2. Draw

• Each prize will be drawn at a specific time. 
• There are 11 prizes drawn every day for a total jackpot of 45,000 PHP.
• The draw starts every day at 8:00 pm Philippine Standard Time (12:00 pm GMT time).
• The first drawn prize is the least valuable one, and the last drawn prize is the most valuable one.
• There is a draw every 2 minutes.
• The last prize is drawn at 8:20 pm Philippine Standard Time (12:20 pm GMT time).
• To draw each prize, we use the Polygon blockchain. The blockchain is an immutable, decentralized and distributed ledger that nobody on earth can tamper and that everybody on earth can verify. This assures everybody that each draw is legit.
• After each draw, an email is sent to the winner, and the prize credited to the player account on 747.

3. How to be sure it's legit?

The system retrieves from the Polygon blockchain the block number that was created exactly at or slightly before 2 minutes before the draw time. For the draw occurring at 8 pm, the system will consider the block created at (or slightly before) 7:58 pm; for the draw occurring at 8:02 pm, the system will consider the block created at (or slightly before) 8:00 pm and so on.

Once the block is determined, the system takes its hash code, and from such a code, it extracts up to 19 digits reading left-to-right.

The resulting number is then divided by the number of entries of the day. The remainder of the division is taken, and "1" is added. This is the winning entry number.

Example of draw and verification

On the website www.747raffle.com, you can see the latest winners. Let's take the lucky winner of the first prize for the draw of 24th May.

 

The winning entry class was 9EK (and all participants had entries with the same class).

The winning number was 24552. Let's see why.

The time was 20:20. Therefore, the block considered by the system was generated 2 minutes earlier; that is at 20:18 (or slightly earlier).

You can easily check on the Polygon blockchain ledger that the block number generated at 20:18 was 28711276.

You can see that the Hash code of this block is "0xb5ef80229f38af0e8cab74bd083975f19698c368b8e9cc4d90d73f387e16e1b3".
Extracting 19 digits, left-to-right, you will get: 5802293808740839751.

From this link, you will see that the number of entries for 24 May was 65960.

So the formula is: 5802293808740839751 / 65960 = 87966855802620, and the remainder is 24551 to which we have to add 1 = 24552, which proves that the draw is correct.

A faster way to calculate the remainder is to use the windows calculator and using the "mod" button as shown below:

 

Xmas Raffle 2022 - Update

The Xmas Raffle will use the same approach with some slight changes:

• The eligible entries are all of those generated from Nov. 1st until Dec. 18th
• The block hash number is used to determine:
  • the month: 11 or 12
  • the day 1 to 30 if the drawn month is November and 1 to 18 if the month is December
  • and finally, the entry number, from 1 to the number of entries available in that day
