Evil Geniuses is one of the most experienced teams in CSGO and Dota 2. They've made it this far thanks to their Counter-Strike experience, which dates back to the early 2000s. They were, however, permanently blacklisted by Valve as an aftermath of some awful events in 2015. After amassing the NRG Esports team in 2019, Evil Geniuses was allowed to re-enter the league and enter the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive arena. 

 

This is, without a doubt, the most intriguing group. You can't tell who'll be the greatest at first glance. All of the teams were completely revamped. Let's take a look at each one separately. The French are no longer French; instead, a Danish-French lineup has been assembled. Dupreeh, Magisk, and Zonic, all global e-sports legends, have joined Team Vitality as coaches. The Danes have won four majors together and should now be able to pass on their knowledge to an IGL apEX (first major), talented misutaaa, and ZywOo, the best player of his generation. Given Mathieu Herbaut's terrible English, we're curious how the squad will communicate. We shouldn't expect extraordinary results from the team until they have had time to readjust.

The Cloud9 2.0 program was published by Evil Geniuses, reviving autimatic and RUSH from obscurity and increasing anticipation with Stewie2k. CeRq and Brehze are the only ones remaining. Damien "maLeK" Marcel, the last major's finalist, will lead the squad. We don't know if the players will be able to replicate their previous success, but it's worth watching.
