Mary C Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 POTENTIAL STARTING LINEUPS: ATLANTA HAWKS PG | Trae Young SG | Bogdan Bogdanovic SF | De'Andre Hunter PF | John Collins C | Clint Capela LOS ANGELES LAKERS PG | Russell Westbrook SG | Avery Bradley SF | Talen Horton-Tucker PF | Stanley Johnson C | Dwight Howard Two seasoned teams, one winner this January 31, 2022, at the Philips Arena. The Atlanta Hawks, being one of the original franchises of the NBA will be playing against one of the most successful and well-known franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers. Airing 2 AM PST, this match is likely to be interesting as fans are on their toes regarding the Lakers’ LeBron James’ condition. Will the famous LeBron James make the game with the rest of the Lakers? Or will the Atlanta Hawks humble them? Los Angeles Lakers. They’re the team that is known by everyone regardless of a person’s disinterest in sports. LeBron James shares that sentiment, being one of the most famous names in basketball alongside Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kobe Bryant. James also happens to be the team’s lead scorer, which is no surprise. Unfortunately, after being categorized under ‘day-to-day’, James is now officially out, along with two other players: Malik Monk and Anthony Davis, for the games leading up to their match against the Hawks due to a knee injury. That’s quite the challenge for the rest of the team now, especially since they don’t seem to have brought their A-game this season and the last. Only ranking 9th at the moment and 7th during the season ‘20-’21, it’s quite surprising for the team that aced ‘19-’20s Western Conference. Atlanta Hawks. You’ve heard of them, not like the Lakers, no, but you’ve definitely heard of them at least thrice in your life. One of the OGs in the field of basketball, they have their good and bad seasons. As of the moment, they seem to be planning to leave 11th place as they win six consecutive games, earning back the five they’ve recently lost, one of which was to the Lakers. The Hawks are packing it up for vengeance, what better opportunity to do that while LeBron James is missing, too! With no injured players and fairly gifted playmakers, the Hawks are making this game their own. Summing it up, the Atlanta Hawks have almost twice as much chance of winning Monday’s home game. They’re emitting a certain aura of determination and feistiness at the moment, and I don’t think the Lakers are ready for it under the pressure they’re under right now. Besides, everyone loves a sort of underdog success story every now and then. Philips Arena, Atlanta, Georgia. 2 AM PST, January 31, 2022. Quote
