The Cincinnati Bengals are set to come back for a critical AFC matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on November 22, 2021. A few weeks ago, the Cincinnati Bengals and Las Vegas Raiders were tied at the top of the AFC standings. Recently, both teams have encountered minor slumps that have dented their play. As they meet on Sunday in Las Vegas, who will be the team to rise to the top and take the win? Let’s find out.

Coming from a bye week, the time off gave the Cincinnati Bengals a much-needed boost to bounce back from the consecutive losses they had against the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns, just when they were starting to rise in the AFC North. The Bengals did not succeed in covering four of their last six games, including their distasteful loss to the Jets, which brings them 4-5 against the spread this season. The Bengals are rooting for quarterback Joe Burrow to uplift the team since he was awarded as the most improved player on the team roster for 2021. Burrow’s passing game has slightly improved which was evident in his records showing higher yards per pass attempt rate. Also, his passer rating significantly increased by about 13 points, and he is leading the league in yards per completion. With the team’s two latest losses, Burrow and the team should be more resilient in the upcoming match.

Things started out good for the Las Vegas Raiders when they had the chance to hold the No. 1 seed in the AFC. However, due to their recent loss to the New York Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs, they are now grappling for a Wild Card berth. Similar to the Bengals, the Raiders are 5-4 against the spread due to failure in covering five of their last seven games. Based on the season statistics, the Raiders’ running back Josh Jacobs contributes heavily to the success of the team and is the one leading them. He has run for a team-leading 280 yards on 73 carries while scoring five touchdowns. He averages 16.1 receiving yards per game as well, catching 18 passes for 129 yards. He also has received 73 of his team's 193 carries this season (37.8%). Other players such as Derek Carr, Hunter Renfrow, and Maxx Crosby also have proven themselves essential in achieving the team’s win.

We expect the Cincinnati Bengals to take the win on this match especially since their bye week has allowed the team to become more healthy. Furthermore, the Bengals have a good defense and ground attack with Mixon and other receiving options. As for the Las Vegas Raiders, they are particularly good in offense, but their lack of running game serves as a window for the opposing team to take advantage of. This makes them more vulnerable as compared to the Bengals. Given that both teams are coming from two consecutive losses, who will be the one determined enough to rise up in this match? Catch the Cincinnati Bengals to go toe to toe against the Las Vegas Raiders this November 22, 2021, at 5:05 PM, EST, at the Allegiant Stadium.
