Heroic squeaked through the Challengers Stage with a 3-2 record, then went crazy in the Legends Stage, dropping only one game, a 16-11 defeat to world No. 1 NAVI. In this tournament, Virtus.pro has ridden their luck on a few occasions, demonstrating grit and persistence in the face of adversity. They rallied from 14-7 deficits on the last game against Spirit, 15-12 deficits on the deciding map vs MOUZ, and 13-8 deficits on the first map against FaZe. The series could be decided by VP's greater LAN experience, but there's no doubt that they haven't been the dominant squad that many expected. Following the last-minute acquisition of Evgeny 'FL1T' Lebedev, a player brought in by the organization to replace Sanjar 'SANJI' Kuliev, Heroic will aim to exploit Virtus.pro's many shortcomings.
