Magnolia vs Ginebra

The most lopsided game of this year’s best of five series, which Ginebra is currently leading with a 2-1, was set up by import Justin Brownlee, who oversaw a breakaway in the second quarter. Later, LA Tenorio joined Brownlee in the action as the two stalwarts of Ginebra joined forces to push the Kings one victory closer to the championship game.

Paul Lee was only given a few minutes to play because he was feeling under the weather according to Magnolia. “Paul Lee’s injury knocked the wind out of their sails,” said Ginebra coach Tim Cone who seemed sad for Lee, the hero of the Hotshots’ thrilling 96-95 in Game 2.

Tenorio scored 20 points and went 4 of 6 from a 3-point range while Scottie Thompson, the current MVP, had 12 points for Ginebra and was the other player in double digits. When team Ginebra began to pull away, the Hotshots provided little fight. Jio Jalalon scored 16 points to lead the No. 2 seeded club while import Nick Rokosevic was restricted to 10 points and 12 rebounds.
