It seems the stress and dispute have gotten to the San Diego Padres as they suffer their first loss  against the Washington Nationals.

The reason for the 80-game suspension of the Padres’ Fernando Tatis Jr. has been made known, and it's plagued the San Diego team ever since. The 23-year-old player tested positive for the performance-enhancing substance, Clostebol, which means he violated one of the MLB’s rules regarding joint drug prevention. The shortstop explains the Clostebol was from his ringworm medication, but many refuse to give him the benefit of the doubt. Going back to the team, it seems the pressure is getting to them, and we can’t really fault them for that. Juan Soto, who is fresh out of the Nationals, is now taking charge, doing his best to prove that they can play well enough without Tatis.

Despite doubts, this underdog eventually came out on top. Everyone and their mother expected the Padres to win, but the Nationals gave them a 3-1 beating while the circumstances were in their favor. They saw the crack and kept tapping on it. After they’ve lost twice to the Padres in their last series, opening this series with a win is a definite good omen. Seeing how they also staggered, however, there’s a lot of work to be done. Still, it’s a good start winning against the Padres, especially with their former superstar Soto playing for the other team now.

With all things considered, we would have never expected this, but we will be going out on a limb and bet on the Washington Nationals. The stress surrounding the San Diego Padres will be coming on all fronts. That, along with low morale, can weaken them no matter how well they play and how good they are as a team. Fans and analysts know of their skill and potential. They’re between a rock and a hard place right now, and the world is against them. We see the Washington Nationals winning Sunday’s game on San Diego’s home soil.
